Bessie Audrey Posey Holley Buckley, 91, passed away in Franklin, Tennessee, on March 15,2013.  She was born on June 7, 1921, at Carroll, Louisiana.  She was preceded in death by husbands Claude Adcock, and Tom Buckley, her parents, Robert E. Posey, Sr and Evie Mangham Posey, brothers, Robert E. Posey, Jr., and Allen Murph Posey, and sister, Katherine Posey Fowler.

Mrs. Buckley is survived by daughter Audrey Holley Henderson (Jerry) of White Rock, SC and Netta Holley Scott (Robert) of Franklin, TN; five grandsons, David Scott (katie) of Kansas City, MO, Donald Scott (Michele) and Carey Scott (Stephanie) of Brentwood, TN, Cory Henderson of Tampa, FL, Rick Henderson of Greenville, SC and six great-grandsons.  She is also survived by a sister-in-law, Mary Lee Posey, of Natchitoches, LA, and brother-in-law, Marion (Mutt) Fowler, of Coushatta, LA, and a host of loving cousins, nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Buckley granduated from Coushatta High School in 1938.  The class enjoyed the numerous reunions she organized for many years.  Natchitoches was her home from the mid 1940's until moving to Franklin in 2007.  She became secretary of Natchitoches High School in 1955 until her retirement in 1985.  She was devoted to her job and loved being involved with the Booster Club, the NHS band and helped to "raise" untold numbers of students during her tenure at NHS, many of whom have kept in touch with her through the years.  Mrs. Buckley was a member of of the Natchitoches Chapter No. 13 Order of the Eastern Star for over forty years and a hospital Pink Lady for fifteen years at the Natchitoches Parish Hospital.

Visitation for family and friends will be held at the Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches LA on Sunday, March 17th from 2 to 5 PM.

A graveside service will be held Monday, March 18, at the Springville Cemetery in Coushatta, LA at 11 AM under the direction of Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home of Natchitoches.
