Obituary for Douglas Wayne Page, Sr.

Funeral service for Douglas W. Page, Sr., will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 11, 2009, in Blanchard-St. Denis Chapel.  Rev. Jimmy McDonald will officiate the service.  Burial will be in Weaver Cemetery at Flora, LA.  Visitation will be Tuesday, February 10, 2009 from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. and on Wednesday, February 11, 2009 from 8 a.m. until service time in the funeral home.

Mr. Page, 65, of Natchitoches, LA, died Saturday, February 7, 2009, in Houston, Texas.  He was a native of Flora, LA.  He was a retired purchasing agent for the City of Natchitoches, LA, and a retired agent for Union National Life Insurance Company, and most recently was employed by Wal-Mart in Natchitoches.

He was preceded in death by his father, Daniel Wilson Page; sister, Gervis Ebert.  He is survived by two sons, Douglas W. Page, Jr., of Bossier City, LA, and Tracy Page of Natchitoches, LA; mother, Melba Brister of Natchitoches, LA.; nephew, Daniel Wesley Ebert of Marthaville, LA.

Pallbearers will be Pete Leone, Al Huthnance, Wayne Banes, John Gilcrease, John Michael Gilcrease and David Hamous.  Honorary pallbearers will be Raymond Litton, Mike Richardson, and Chuck Young.
