Miss Clio Allen

Miss Clio Allen, 68, long time Natchitoches resident, died unexpectedly Tuesday, November 5 at 5:45 a.m. at the local hospital.

Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, (November 6) at 3:30 p.m. at the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Perry F. Webb, Jr. and the Rev. Ernest Lilley officiating.  Internment was in the American Cemetery under the direction of Blanchard's Funeral Home.

Miss Allen was a native of Plain Dealing and a former teacher at Natchitoches High School.  She retired about two years ago.

Survivors are one brother, Bryan Allen of Arkadelphia, Ark.,; three sisters, Mrs. T. P. Dutsch and Mrs. P.C. Baker, both of Baton Rouge, and Mrs. Kenneth Gardner of Shreveport; five nephews and four nieces.

Pallbearers were Harbert W. Smith, R. G. Markham, Edwin Miller, Alan Crosby, E. H. Haynes, Leroy S. Miller, P.H. Breedlove, and Edgerton Pierson.
